Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM • Every other weekend requirement • 2 out of 3 major holidays or every other holiday as needed • 34-bed Medical Surgical ICU with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 for ICU patients • Care for adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old including neurosurgery, respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, general surgery, and GI bleeds • Required to titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips • Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring system • Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU • Navy blue scrub color requirement • 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% score during orientation • Must reside more than 50 miles from facility location • Artificial fingernails prohibited • Use EPIC charting system • Crisis protocol in effect requiring interview with facility manager • Fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking skills and positive attitude Facility: This Level 1 trauma center serves as the primary tertiary hospital for the healthcare system, providing comprehensive critical care services.
