Job Details Position: CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel RN Location: Belmont, NC 28012 (near Charlotte, Mecklenburg County) Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – cardiac surgery and advanced cardiac care Assignment Type: Travel Start Date: March 23, 2026 End Date: June 21, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,910 - $2,010 per week Qualifications / Job Requirements Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license. North Carolina licensure or compact license preferred for travel nurses. Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or critical care nursing experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Strong clinical assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical thinking skills Excellent communication, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Experience with post-op cardiac patients, ventilator support, and advanced cardiac monitoring is a plus Responsibilities Deliver high-quality cardiovascular critical care nursing to adult patients in the CVICU Continuously monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using advanced cardiac monitoring Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans Administer medications, titrate vasoactive drips, manage IVs, and operate advanced life support and monitoring equipment Respond to emergencies and participate in code and rapid response situations as needed Provide patient and family education related to procedures, post-operative care, and ongoing cardiovascular care Maintain a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff Why join us: Grow your critical care nursing career as a Travel RN in a top-tier CVICU near Charlotte.
