This role will be full-time, day shift Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Hybrid opportunity The Registered Nurse Outpatient provides safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way in a physician practice or other outpatient setting. Incorporates differences into the provision of care while integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families to include patient and family education. Achieves desired patient outcomes by using an integrated approach. Incorporates data and information to improve care and enhances outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor. Duties: Phone triage and advice for general and trauma surgery patients Care navigation In-basket management Surgery prep and coordination with surgeon as needed Additional Requirements: Experience: 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN Work schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Preferred Qualifications: Preferred 1-2 years of acute care experience as a RN in ambulatory setting
