Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant

Position Type: Part-Time Schedule: 12-hour shifts Clinic hours 8:00 AM 8:00 PM, 7 days/week Minimum Commitment: 4 shifts per month Compensation: $60 $80/hour (based on experience) + bonus Benefits: 401(k), Sick Pay, Malpractice Coverage Position Overview NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Part-Time NP or PA to join our Lee s Summit, MO clinic. What You ll Do Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits Order and interpret labs and imaging (including x-rays) Perform urgent care procedures (suturing, wound care, splinting, as applicable) Provide clear discharge instructions and patient education Document care efficiently in the EHR Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Missouri NP or PA license Board certification or eligibility PA: NCCPA NP: ANCC or AANP (FNP required) Active DEA license (or ability to obtain) Ability to treat patients of all ages Active BLS certification Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered) Preferred Qualifications Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care) Experience interpreting x-rays prior to radiology over-read Why NextCare NextCare is one of the nation s largest urgent care providers, with 160+ locations across 11 states.
