Weekend Locum Tenens Job Providing Psychiatric Emergency Services in Southern CaliforniaDetails/Requirements: Need is for psychiatric emergency treatment services coverage starting ASAP and ongoing for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays 8am to 6:30pm (these specific days and shift hours only, non-negotiable). Candidates must be Board Certified and comfortable treating patients of all ages. The patient mix is adults, children, and adolescents; whoever comes in the door needs to be seen by the locum tenens Psychiatrist. Will consider adult psychiatrists who are experienced with children & adolescents of all ages. Approximately 1000 patients per month are seen in Mental Health - Emergency Treatment Services (ETS). The actual number of patients per 8-hour shift varies but can be between 8-16 patients per shift. More patients would be seen in a 10-hour shift. Electronic medical record system, so candidates must be computer savvy. Can take up to 6 months for hospital credentialing/privileging.
