Details Work in a Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting Unit includes 16 LDRP rooms, a C-section Suite, PACU, and a 4-bed Special Care Nursery Closed specialty unit — no floating outside of the Family Center Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 13-week contract Requirements Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required Prior L&D experience required Mother/baby experience required Two professional references required for consideration Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration Additional Information Unit supports nurses with a dedicated preadmit nurse, discharge planner/case worker, maternity navigator, unit educator, and lactation specialist Unit actively participates in statewide and national process improvement initiatives, including programs around neonatal withdrawal, prenatal screening, safe sleep, mental health, and obstetrical sepsis care Unit was the first in the area to implement the Eat, Sleep, Console program for infants experiencing withdrawal symptoms Uses Epic EMR American Traveler Job ID P-679647.
