Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Duration: 8 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Position Details: Job Title - RN - ICU Unit - PICU or NICU Duration - 8 Weeks Shift -Days & Nights Location - Phoenix, AZ Position Summary: The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse provides specialized, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. This role involves managing complex medical conditions, operating advanced life-support equipment, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Job Duties: Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and neurological function. Administer IV medications, vasoactive drips, blood products, and other critical therapies as prescribed. Manage and monitor advanced life-support equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and infusion pumps.
