Details 13-week contract at an acute care hospital Float pool position covering Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatrics units Coronary Care patient population included in float rotation Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week) Weekend and holiday coverage required Call required Charting system: MEDITECH Requirements Active NY RN license currently in hand (required) Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing At least one completed travel nursing assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered Coronary Care experience required Experience floating across Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric units Previous hospital RN experience preferred Ability to safely assess and implement use of lifts and patient movement techniques 2 references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager within the past year and within the specialty are required for consideration Additional Information May be required to assume charge nurse duties Must demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills Must be able to function effectively in high-stress situations with creative problem-solving abilities Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills are essential Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-678957.
