Health Saviours is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel: RN - Telemetry I - NIGHTS REQUIRED Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications BLS certification required from AHA ACLS certification required from AHA RN License in state of employment or compact Type of patients on the unit: MI, CHF, Arrhythmias, PVD, and some med surg overflow. The department does many cardiac rips, we do not nitrate but we manage the drips. Temp to perm is a possibility Weekend Requirement Every other weekend On Call Requirement No call Floating Requirement / Locations Required to float when needed Nurse / Patient Ratio 5:1 but can be 6:1 on occasion Job Requirements: Education/Skills Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred Experience 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications BLS required Current ACLS certification required RN License in state of employment or compact Position Requirements: Education/Skills All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and initial on-boarding requirements are validated through successful completion of the designated organizational entry competency validation and a MedSurg specific competency validation. All newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientation. Skills completion and competency completion will be achieved with the preceptor at the bedside and documented through the program’s tracking software. Completion of all annual competency verification requirements. Experience One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
