Job Details Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) / Labor and Delivery Nurse Location: Oxford, NC 27565 (Granville County) — travel nursing opportunity in North Carolina Assignment Type: Travel, On-Site (travel nursing) Start Date: March 23, 2026 End Date: June 22, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1770 Shift: Night, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00) Hours per Week: 36 Number of Openings: 2 EMR: MEDITECH (experience helpful; training available) Job Requirements / Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (must be active at time of submission) Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery or Obstetric nursing experience required; 2 years preferred Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), maternal/fetal assessment, and postpartum care preferred Travel nursing experience preferred but not required Ability to provide 2 supervisory references Copy of required certifications per facility/unit standards (BLS required; NRP and perinatal certifications preferred) Requested Time Off (RTO) should be kept to a minimum and submitted up front for approval Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate maternal and newborn care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery Perform ongoing maternal and fetal assessments, including continuous and intermittent electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), and respond promptly to changes in condition Assist with deliveries, support vaginal and cesarean births as needed, and coordinate care with anesthesia and neonatal teams Manage postpartum care, newborn assessment, and initial stabilization in collaboration with interdisciplinary staff Educate and support patients and families regarding labor, delivery, breastfeeding, and postpartum expectations Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the MEDITECH EMR system Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment consistent with hospital policies and infection prevention standards Why Oxford, NC?
