Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM • Manager creates schedule based on unit needs • Weekend requirement: every other weekend • Holiday requirement: 2 out of 3 major holidays or every other as needed • Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities • Driver's license required for distance verification • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue • 34-bed Medical Surgical ICU with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 for ICU patients • Care for adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old • Common patient types include neuro surgery, respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, and various surgical patients • Required to titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips • Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring system • Work with various equipment including ventilators, CVPs, arterial lines, Swan catheters, EV-1000, ICP monitoring, and CRRT • Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU • Dress code requires navy blue scrubs • Two shifts of unit-specific orientation provided • Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove results in contract termination • Fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking skills, positive attitude, and willingness to collaborate Facility: This Level 1 trauma center serves as the primary tertiary hospital for the regional healthcare system, providing comprehensive critical care services.
