Job description: Our client, an international manufacturing and distribution organization in themedical device industry, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO)to lead and unify all operational, product, support, and training functions across the business. This executive role is responsible for translating corporate strategy into operational execution, driving operational excellence, and leading multi-site operations. The COO will ensure alignment cross departments, improve efficiency, and support scalable growth while working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team. Key Responsibilities Translate corporate strategy into annual and quarterly operating plans with clear priorities, metrics, and accountability. Establish and maintain a structuredoperatingcadenceincludingweekly and monthlyperformancereviews. Build and maintain scalable operational systems including organizational structure, workflows, and decision frameworks. Drive operational excellence by improving throughput, quality, cycle time, and reliability while reducing waste and inefficiencies. Standardize and optimize core processes using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Lead operations across three company sites, ensuring consistent standards, capacity planning, and resource allocation. Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks as the organization scales in volume, complexity, and headcount. Align Sales and Marketing commitments with Production and Service delivery to meet customer expectations. Manage operational financial performance including margins, working capital, and ROI considerations. Improve customer experience through enhanced on-time delivery, service responsiveness, and quality performance. Strengthen risk management, safety, regulatory compliance, and supplier performance across operations. Develop leadership talent and organizational bench strength through coaching and performance management. Support the CEO by providing clear operational reporting and leadership across the organization. Lead operational due diligence and post-acquisition integration for mergers and acquisitions. Qualifications: Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred. 10+years ofoperationalleadership experience within manufacturing or distribution environments. Strong experience in the medical device manufacturing industry required. Proven experience leading high-performing teams and developing leadership talent. Strong background in multi-site operational leadership. Experience with ERP systems required; NetSuite experience preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated experience in operational excellence and disciplined cost management. Experience in high-intensity operational environments such as military or public service is a plus.
