Details Work setting is a comprehensive cancer center with 318 acute care beds, with all-inpatient oncology units of 36 beds each, specialized by cancer diagnosis Units include BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, and Corrections Healthcare Floating required across Med/Surg and PCU Oncology units PCU staffing ratio is 1:3, up to 1:4 with mixed acuity; Med/Surg Tele ratio is ideally 1:4, up to 1:5 Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 If accepting a 12D/N rotating contract, shifts may include days, nights, or a combination based on department needs, reviewed every 4-week scheduling period Weekend scheduling is variable based on unit needs Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention Self-scheduling requests are submitted for consideration prior to the final schedule being posted Requirements Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of high-acuity Med/Surg Tele experience or higher required Oncology experience preferred but not required 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information First week of orientation is Monday–Friday on day shift; weeks 2 and 3 include five bedside orientation shifts, followed by independent practice Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may change representation without a required break between assignments (exception applies to Sterile Processing Techs, who require a 30-day break) All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration American Traveler Job ID P-681341.
