The Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) department at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix, also known as the University Medicine Women's Institute, offers a comprehensive range of services including prenatal care, delivery, gynecologic care, and more. Our team is dedicated to providing inclusive, patient-centered care for individuals across all stages of life. We are seeking a registered nurse to join our rapidly growing department, which includes service lines in obstetrics & gynecology, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS), urogynecology, maternal-fetal medicine (MFM), perinatal substance use, and sexual health. This role will provide nursing support to ensure regulatory oversight, compliance, and the implementation of standardized processes and procedures, all while delivering exceptional patient care. Location: 1441 N 12th St 3rd Floor Phoenix, AZ 85006. Will float to Arcadia at 4200 E. Camelback Phx, and maternal-fetal clinic at Banner Desert in Mesa. Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00AM-5:00PM. Additionally, the campus responsibilities include fully integrated multi-specialty and sub-specialty clinics and has operations in multiple locations spanning across the Phoenix metropolitan city. This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients. Core functions include assessing patient needs, formulating a plan of care, implementing the plan of care through direct patient care, evaluating the patient's response to care and teaching, documenting assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record, providing care based on the best evidence available, contributing to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes, and interacting with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts. Minimum qualifications include a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
