Mahan for Governor: Finance Assistant The Matt Mahan for Governor campaign is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the finance operation. This role is critical to ensuring accurate data, strong targeting, and effective decision-making across the campaign. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Collaborate with the finance team and hosts to track, plan, and build fundraising events Staff and assist with fundraising events across California Prepare briefing materials for the candidate and surrogates Support candidate call time by identifying prospective donors, preparing calls, and conducting follow-up and pledge-chase Assist in staffing candidate call time as needed Cultivate relationships with donors, stakeholders, and event hosts in California Ensure databases (Numero, etc.) are accurate, organized, and up to date with important notes, contact information, and source codes Additional Responsibilities Complete other fundraising tasks as assigned by the Deputy Finance Director and Finance Director Assist the candidate and larger campaign team in staffing and other needs as assigned Qualifications Fundraising experience is preferred, but not required Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to manage several projects in a fast-paced environment and be responsive to timely needs Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends as required Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills Salary & Benefits The salary for this position is $6,000-$7,000 a month commensurate with experience.
