Delivery Driver

Delivery Driver SouthernCarlson, a national distributor of construction, fastening, industrial and construction supplies, is seeking a delivery driver to join our team of successful associates. What You'll Be Doing Perform routine inspection of vehicle and merchandise to ensure road safety. Operating a box ruck delivering nail pallets to customers. Plan route to and from customers businesses and adjust for traffic and/or construction. Warehouse activities to handle deliveries and support the warehouse team. This included pulling orders for the next day. Safely transport merchandise to customers in a timely, safe, and courteous manner. Load truck with daily merchandise to be delivered as well as unload merchandise for customer. Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with management, co-workers and/or customers to resolve any delivery issues. Assist the warehouse team in between deliveries. Assist with tools repairs as needed. Qualifications One or more years of experience in a similar role Valid driver's license and good driving record Maintain DOT certification Experience in the construction or industrial supply industry is helpful Quick learner and able to retain knowledge Basic computer skills Ability to lift 50 pounds of customer product regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally Forklift experience preferred but not required Diligent attention to safety and detail Strong communication and customer service skills High school diploma or equivalent Why You'll Love It Here Daytime shift with great hours!
