Street Sweeper (CDL-B) Full-Time LOCATION: Columbus, OH HOURS: 1st Shift (7 AM 4:30 PM. Occasional Nights and Weekends, Schedule Subject to Change Based on Business Needs) COMPENSATION: $18.00-23.00 / Hour TRAVEL: Minimal (1-10%) Your daily impact: As our next Street Sweeper, you'll be at the heart of our missiondelivering essential services that help improve public safety and enhance environmental quality. In this role, you'll take ownership of assigned routes, drive the street sweeper, and operate specialized equipment to keep streets clean and well-maintained. Safety & Inspections: Complete required pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is safe and operational before starting work. Equipment & Material Handling: Operate equipment safely and efficiently, follow traffic laws and site protocols, and handle materials according to disposal and safety procedures. Reporting & Documentation: Immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns and accurately complete required logs and paperwork. Professional Communication: Represent the Company professionally and communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients. Adaptability & Reliability: Respond effectively to changing conditions, solve problems as they arise, and maintain regular, predictable attendance. Minimum Job Requirements: Minimum job qualifications define the essential skills, experience, and abilities needed to succeed in the role. They set the baseline for hiring but may evolve as the job and business requirements change: Education: High School or GED Experience: 1 year DOT driving experience waste & recycling services experience preferred License: CDL-B & DOT Medical Card Age: Must be at least 21 years of age Compliance: Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law. Physical Demands: Frequent sitting and walking/standing; occasional bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling; limited stair climbing and crawling; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs at varying heights, including overhead. Cognitive & Sensory Requirements: Continuous reading, screen use, mental focus, and hand-eye coordination throughout the workday. Equipment & Tools: Operation of specialized equipment (e.g., mechanical broom sweeper) and use of hand controls, foot controls, and fine motor skills.
