Job Title: EMRA Specialist Department: Manufacturing Reports To: Quality Process Engineer EMRA Specialist Position Overview: Chance Aluminum is looking for a hands-on, detail-driven EMRA Specialist to support our manufacturing operations by enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and performance of production systems through engineering, maintenance, and automation initiatives. This is a critical role supporting our commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and product quality in a high-paced aluminum processing environment. EMRA Specialist Essential Responsibilities: • Implement and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies across plant equipment. • Lead troubleshooting efforts on complex mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, minimizing downtime and improving uptime. • Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automated systems including sensors, PLCs, HMIs, and actuators. • Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and develop actionable solutions to prevent recurrence. • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to enhance machine performance and reliability. • Monitor and analyze data from CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and automation systems to drive decisions. • Document all modifications, improvements, and maintenance activities in compliance with internal standards and safety regulations. • Assist with capital projects and equipment upgrades, providing technical insight and hands-on support. • Promote and uphold safety standards in all maintenance and engineering activities. EMRA Specialist Qualifications:Required: • Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or a related field. • 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, reliability engineering, or automation systems. • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, PLC troubleshooting, and industrial automation. • Experience with CMMS, SCADA, and process monitoring tools. • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred: • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) • Experience in an aluminum mill or heavy manufacturing environment. • Certifications in reliability (e.g., CRL), maintenance (e.g., CMRP), or safety (e.g., OSHA 30). • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or TPM principles. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be comfortable working in a noisy, industrial environment with exposure to heat and moving machinery. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hand tools or test equipment. Work Schedule: Full-time position with possible on-call availability for emergencies.
