We are seeking a fun and outgoing occupational therapy assistant to work in a pediatric setting. We offer positions with: Competitive Salaries No Weekend Appointments Flexible Scheduling Direct Deposit Laptop Availability Performance Based Programs Paid Holidays Electronic Charting In-House CEU's Continuing Education Reimbursement ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION Provide patient treatment, instruction, and other related services following the Occupational Therapist's evaluation and establishment of the patient's plan of care Report all significant outcomes of patient treatments to the Occupational Therapist for intervention and/or plan of care revision Maintain necessary documentation, including daily patient progress notes, home/exercise instructions, and any other support entries allowed by State statute Document the name of the supervising Occupational Therapist per patient as required by State statute Report all patient care activities performed requiring program modification immediately to the Occupational Therapist Ensure proficient services through proper patient and equipment scheduling Carry out EHS duties as designated by policy and/or by the President/Vice President Comply with the Facility's Comprehensive Compliance Plan (CPP), which includes but is not limited to: Business & Clinical Operations, Environmental Health & Safety, HIPAA, Human Resources and Code of Conduct as well as all facility policies and procedures and educational requirements associated the CCP Comply with all local, state and federal regulations, training and instruction requirements, as well as any other standards that govern healthcare services provision Assist with developing and organizing patient/parent training programs to meet the needs of the families and community Collaborate with physician offices to ensure quality of care and positive working relationships in conjunction with office administration QUALIFICATIONS: A graduate of a certified Occupational Therapy Program approved by the Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners. A person licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas A person who demonstrates the physical and mental capabilities (practical &/or written, post-training competency test) to perform the duties required of the position. A person who can meet the physical demand level of the position.
