School Age Group Leader

The Hockomock Area YMCA's School Age Department is seeking enthusiastic and dependable Group Leaders for our Franklin Branch. Group Leaders play a key role in supervising students, supporting daily routines, and creating a safe and welcoming space where children can learn, grow, and thrive. If you're energetic, responsible, and ready to make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you! Essential Functions Support the development and delivery of curriculum and group activities. Actively participate in all parts of the daily schedule, including: Snack, lunch preparation, and cleanup Activity facilitation Program space setup and cleanup Supervise and engage with youth to ensure a safe, fun, and inclusive environment. Follow all YMCA health and safety procedures and EEC licensing regulations. Report any concerns or issues promptly to the Site Director. Use positive redirection and guidance techniques to support children's social-emotional development. Maintain a professional and supportive demeanor with children, families, and team members. Keep assigned areas clean, organized, and inviting. RequirementsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple responsibilities. Strong work ethic with excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Demonstrated commitment to upholding and promoting the mission, values, and goals of the YMCA. Must be at least 16 years of age. Prior experience working with school-age children is preferred. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability. First Aid and CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
