Details Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a large hospital setting Day/night rotating shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts) Shift assignment may vary based on operational needs of the facility, though preferred shifts will be honored when possible 13-week contract Requirements Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Active BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum of 18 months of permanent (non-travel) Med/Surg Telemetry experience required One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the specialty is required for consideration Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration Additional Information Local candidates are accepted for this position Travelers must work at least every other holiday ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required (maximum of 2 attempts) Candidates must complete onsite badging and fingerprinting at the facility prior to their start date Background check hits of any kind are reviewed; open cases will not be accepted License hits of any kind will not be accepted Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements until further notice Former permanent or per diem employees must wait at least 1 year from their previous end date before returning to this health system RTO requests must be discussed during the interview process American Traveler Job ID P-678509.
