Packaging Technician – Canoga Park, CA Pay Rate: $23.00/hour Shifts Available: • 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (2 openings) • AM Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (2 openings) Position Overview We are seeking licensed Pharmacy Technicians in the state of California to support medication dispensing and packaging operations. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for candidates who have completed a pharmacy externship. Work experience is not required; however, an active California Pharmacy Technician license (not trainee) with no sanctions or disciplinary history is mandatory. The Packaging Technician will receive prescriptions, accurately fill and package medications, and prepare them for shipping while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. Key Responsibilities • Follow daily packaging assignments and complete additional packaging tasks as needed • Perform hand, strip, and card packaging of medications • Double-check medication accuracy prior to beginning packaging process • Clean machines with alcohol between each medication packaging • Clean and organize workstations; replenish supplies as needed • Record quantities and expiration dates in designated logs • Obtain pharmacist verification prior to finalizing packaging • Return unused medications to proper pharmacy storage areas • Place completed stock on appropriate shelves • Maintain compliance with all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA • Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications • Active California Pharmacy Technician license (required) • License must be in good standing with no sanctions or disciplinary history • Completion of pharmacy externship preferred • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to follow written instructions and procedures • Commitment to safety, compliance, and patient confidentiality Physical Requirements • Ability to sit or stand for 7–10 hours per day • Frequent walking, bending, stooping, and reaching • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally • Finger dexterity for packaging and equipment operation • Close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment required • Ability to hear normal voice sounds Work Environment • Climate-controlled, smoke-free pharmacy environment • May require extended hours as needed If you are interested, please reach out to Chin Yang at A-Line Staffing. 586-323-4194 |
