Summary: Responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations on patients. Duties include preparing patients for exams, operating ultrasound equipment, and interpreting ultrasound images. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions: - Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel to the skin. Education: Associate's Degree in Sonography required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials: MA State License (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required) Preferred Certifications: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Certified Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Experience: Prior experience working in a similar role 2-3 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Experience with vascular ultrasound equipment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Attention to detail.
