Job Details Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (Blue Ridge Mountains) Position: Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry RN Assignment Type: Travel (13 weeks) Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 29, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Positions Available: 3 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,800 - $1,890 per week Job Requirements / Qualifications Active, unencumbered RN license (North Carolina or eligible for compact license) Minimum 1 year recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU), telemetry, or similar acute care RN experience Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry, high-acuity patient care, and medication administration BLS certification (AHA or equivalent); ACLS preferred Ability to work scheduled 12-hour night shifts Strong communication, critical thinking, patient education, and teamwork skills Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit and telemetry settings Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, including cardiac telemetry and hemodynamic status Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (MDs, NPs, respiratory, PT/OT, case management) to develop and implement individualized care plans Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, discharge plans, and post-discharge care Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions; escalate care appropriately Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive environment for patients and staff Why Join This Travel Nurse Opportunity Work at a nationally recognized hospital with strong clinical support and professional development opportunities Gain focused PCU/telemetry experience while exploring Asheville—one of the top destinations for travel nurses in North Carolina Competitive travel nurse pay and benefits package (including potential housing stipend and travel reimbursement where applicable).
