LOCATION: New York, NY THE ORGANIZATION: Prestigious Global Law Firm SUMMARY: A prestigious firm is seeking a Facilities Craftsman to assist with their repairs, office fixtures, accessories, and equipment. It is an in-office opportunity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for repairing, restoring, and maintaining firm fixtures and equipment Assist with the upkeep of ceiling tiles, air vents, grills, lights, file drawers, and cabinets Participate in applicable door handle replacements, or hardware implementation Maintain and support plumbing issues, water cooler needs, and ice maker coordination Ability to paint walks and repair drywall Keep a clear inventory of parts and supplies for the firm Source parts for projects and make sure all necessary tools are accumulated for repairs Assist with the maintenance and porter functions as need by the firm Participate in frequent movement as needed to accomplish tasks: walking, standing, kneeling, pushing, lifting, and so on REQUIRED SKILLS: 1+ years facilities/craftsman experience within a professional services or corporate environment Excellent customer service skills Work independently as well as lead others Ability to collaborate across a multi-department operations team Ability to work well under pressure and to maintain a professional demeanor General knowledge of cleaning materials, hand tools, and power tools Ability to exert moderate physical effort and stand for long periods of time Operate machinery/tools safely and effectively
