Director of Operations  (Full-Time Year Round)Department: AdministrationReports To: Head of School (HOS)Travel Requirements: Occasional local offsite meetings (during business hours)About the CompanyNorthwest Yeshiva High School (NYHS), a coeducational, accredited Jewish high school serving grades 912, seeks a full-time Director of Operations. Located on Mercer Island, NYHS offers a rigorous dual curriculum in a close-knit, mission-driven community where students are known, challenged, and supported.We seek an experienced hands on leader with a strong foundation in operations. The ideal candidate brings demonstrated success building and scaling systems and processes that support effective, sustainable operations in a school, nonprofit, or corporate environment. This leader has a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams and is comfortable operating at the governance level, with experience reporting to and partnering closely with a board of trustees or directors. A background in business, finance, or a related discipline is valued, though equivalent professional experience and demonstrated financial acumen are equally important.As Director of Operations, we anticipate that you will partner with the head of school to lead four areas of the institution: compliance, fleet/facilities, technology, and safety/security. In each area, you will identify key performance metrics in alignment with the schools strategic plan. You will lead the measurement of performance in those areas and reporting progress regularly to the head of school and the board. Your work will make a difference in the lives of our students, faculty, and staff.ComplianceResponsible for all state accreditations and registrations.Manage Registrar and Admin Roles to ensure record compliance with state and federal regulations.Facilities and OperationsYou will ensure that we steward our resources including our physical plant, monitoring policies and procedures.Serve as primary contact for neighbors concerning the school grounds.You will promote safety, security, and effective emergency planning.You will maintain accreditation and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards.You will manage a team consisting of  Admissions, Administrative, Security, Maintenance, Janitorial, and Technical roles both employed and contracted.You will also be responsible for managing, organizing and ordering, on an ongoing basis, our school/building supplies.Oversee Fleet Operations for School owned vehicles.Support emergent maintenance needs.Conduct facility safety walks.Manage Facility Shut-down, and emergency communications protocol.Ensure Generator operation and maintenance.TechnologyOwn technology execution for the schoolDirect support and improvement effortsResponsible for core systems and managementEvents and AthleticsYou will manage logistics, safety, and security relating to athletics,field trips, and events.You will lead planning discussions for annual calendars and key events such as: Graduation, Memorial Tournaments, and key trips.Compensation:Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per yearJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Medical and vision coverageVoluntary dental and FSA plans403(b) retirement planGenerous paid time off, including school breaks and holidaysSafety-Sensitive Positions and Pre-Employment Requirements All positions at Northwest Yeshiva High School are designated as safety-sensitive due to regular interaction with students and responsibility for maintaining a safe school environment.
