Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Provide leadership and management for the Mixed Acuity unit, ensuring high-quality patient care. Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care. Oversee the unit's daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation. Mentor and support nursing staff, promoting professional development and continuous improvement. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute comprehensive patient care plans. Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies for improvement. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements. Manage the unit's budget and resources efficiently. Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to patient care or staff performance. Candidate requirements Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years of nursing leadership experience in an academic hospital setting Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Experience in a mixed acuity or similar healthcare setting preferred. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage complex projects and work collaboratively in a team environment.
