Compass Minerals operates 11 production and packaging facilities with more than 1,800 employees throughout the U.S., Canada and the U.K. Visit compassminerals.com for more information about the company and its products.SummaryThe OT/IT Convergence Manager is a leadership role responsible for defining and enforcing enterprise-wide standards, architectures, and governance that unify Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT). The role collaborates with onsite IT/OT resources and vendors to deliver secure, resilient, and compliant infrastructure; ensures consistency for PCN design, firewalls, identity boundaries, backup/DR, and application hosting; and leads projects that align infrastructure capabilities to evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:(Management reserves the right to add or modify the duties and responsibilities at any time.) Lead infrastructure operations across data centers, cloud (Azure, Google, M365), servers, storage, and networks. Manage OT infrastructure projects, budgets, vendor contracts, and SLAs; supervise and mentor internal staff and external providers. Collaborate with business leaders and IT teams to align strategies, drive innovation, and promote Agile/SAFe practices and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with SOX and internal governance processes; monitor system performance, capacity, and configuration standards. Define and govern enterprise PCN/OT network architecture including segmentation, VLAN schemes, IP allocations, and device addressing. Own governance for shared OT/IT firewalls including procurement, architecture patterns, policy/rule governance, version standards, and vendor remote access controls. Set enterprise wireless architecture and encryption standards for PCN; govern procurement and placement of industrial APs. Establish and monitor physical/data center readiness standards for OT and shared assets (power, HVAC, UPS/generator integration) and govern structured cabling and cabinet access controls. Partner with IT Infrastructure Manager to define enterprise OT domain structure, delegated administration, and GPO baselines; govern LAPS, KMS, DNS, and SPN processes for all OT hosts to align with current IT standards where possible. Standardize hosting models for OT workloads (on-site, edge, VM clusters) and govern VM standards, snapshots, and database access/security to align with IT standards where possible. Define hardware/firmware/OS/security baselines for OT-connected devices and enforce security requirements for vendor-connected assets to align with IT standards where possible. Own enterprise documentation templates and repositories for PCN diagrams, IP allocations, and fiber maps with version control. Work with Enterprise IT leadership to explore existing processes that allow for collaborative OT/IT Convergence to oversee cybersecurity assessments, penetration testing, and remediation programs. Implement and regularly test disaster recovery and business continuity plans spanning OT and IT environments. Develop automation, monitoring, and alerting to improve reliability and response time across converged environments Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Requirement sTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 7 years of progressive experience across OT networking, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity 3 years in leadership roles. Experience with multi-site/global infrastructure, vendor management, and cloud platforms (Azure, Google, M365). Strong background in L2/L3 networking, firewalls, NAC/TACACS/ISE, wireless, and Microsoft Active Directory/domain administration. Hands-on experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware), backup/DR, and governance of SQL/database access and security. Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective oral/written/interpersonal communication abilities. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications in networking, security, cloud, or virtualization (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, Azure Administrator/Architect, VCP).
