Senior Estimator - HVAC & MEP

Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking a Senior Estimator for HVAC & MEP in the Fort Worth Metro area to lead bid preparation and pricing strategy for commercial mechanical projects. Impact • Win profitable work through accurate estimates and competitive pricing • Support business growth by pursuing strategic opportunities • Minimize risk through thorough scope review and value engineering • Mentor junior estimators and elevate department capabilities Responsibilities • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial HVAC and plumbing projects ranging from $1M-$20M • Perform material takeoffs using Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and estimating software • Analyze plans, specifications, and addenda to determine project scope • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes • Develop labor hour estimates based on historical productivity data • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits • Prepare bid proposals, schedules of values, and cost breakdowns • Coordinate with project management on buyout and budget transfers • Lead design-assist and value engineering efforts Requirements Must-Haves • 7+ years of mechanical estimating experience in commercial construction • Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and estimating software • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, and sheet metal installations • Experience with design-build and negotiated contracts • Excellent analytical and communication skills Nice-to-Haves • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management • LEED accreditation or sustainable design experience • Familiarity with BIM coordination and model-based estimating • Previous project management experience Compensation & Logistics Competitive salary depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, performance bonuses, PTO, and paid holidays.
