Intern Opportunity At Asphalt Materials, Inc. Asphalt Materials, Inc. is currently seeking an intern to spend this summer helping our Purchasing Department as a Supply Chain Analyst Intern. Essential Functions: Assisting in creating and developing proposals, bids, and purchase requests Understand and create tracking and communication processes for trucking, rail, and purchasing Assist in developing and implementing strategies for purchasing chemicals, raw materials, and trucking Will have exposure to multiple lines of business Helping the team complete compliance projects using excel Other duties as assigned Education Qualifications: Working toward a bachelor's degree or recent graduate in: Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Economics, General Business, or Related Fields Skills and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite of products especially Excel and PowerPoint (should be familiar with pivot tables and v lookups, etc.) Willingness to learn and be an excellent team player Attention to detail About Asphalt Materials, Inc.: Asphalt Materials, Inc. is a privately held, family-owned business headquartered in Indianapolis.
