Overview: The ADRC Office Student Employee serves as a general office assistant supporting daily operations within the Access and Disability Resource Center. Responsibilities include scheduling student appointments, answering phone calls, and greeting students and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. After receiving training, the student employee assists students with their assistive technology accounts and basic system navigation. The role also supports office reporting needs by tracking weekly ADRC data and reminding staff to submit them in a timely manner. Sometimes Hours Available: Monday-Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Schedule Flexibility: Describe whether the schedule is fixed or flexible. The schedule is flexible. Although consistency is important for ease of office operations and management, work hours can be adjusted based on the student's class schedule and availability, as long as office coverage needs are met. Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities (TDRs) and Learning Outcomes • Greet students, staff, and visitors at the front desk and provide general office assistance Communication (CM) • Answer and direct phone calls and respond to general email inquiries Communication (CM) • Schedule student appointments and assist with check-in procedures Organizational skills, attention to details • Assist students with assistive technology account Technology (TC) • Maintain confidentiality of student records and documentation Career & Self Development (CD • Help prepare materials for workshops, orientations, and events Teamwork (TW) • Support daily office operations (filing, scanning, copying, supply organization) Office administration Candidate Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities or KSOAs) Qualified candidates will have the following competencies and skills: Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Google Calendar proficiency. Create, organize, and share documents through Google Suite platforms (Google docs, Google Sheets) Eligible to work in the United States. Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours during fall and spring semesters. Employment over summer is allowed if student is enrolled in at least one summer credit course or enrolled for following fall in at least six credit hours. Must have a GPA of at least 2.0 and be in good academic standing. Track office supply inventory and notify staff when restocking is needed Complete special projects and administrative assignments as needed
