Managing Director - Water Transfer Field OperationsDepartment: Water Transfer Employment Type: Full Time Location: Cambridge, OH Description We are hiring a Managing Director of Water Transfer Field Operations to lead all water transfer activities within a designated region or key operator account. This high-impact leadership role includes managing day-to-day operations, overseeing personnel, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving safety and performance standards. The Managing Director will play a critical role in customer communication, project planning, and supporting the Company's financial goals. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and is expected to travel frequently to job sites across the region. Responsibilities Oversee Operations Managers, Field Supervisors, and Technicians across all field functions Lead water transfer setup, execution, and demobilization efforts Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety protocols, and environmental regulations Monitor budgets, labor, and material costs; report on regional P&L performance Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and account growth Collaborate with Sales, HSE, and HR to support recruitment, training, safety, and performance management Ensure consistent employee training and operational readiness for all customer job sites Evaluate operational efficiencies, deploy automation and instrumentation solutions where possible Maintain accurate field documentation, job cost tracking, and invoicing accuracy Participate in annual strategic planning and support new market initiatives Requirements Required: 5+ years of oil and gas industry experience, with a strong background in water transfer or construction Knowledge of pumping systems, pipe layouts, filtration technology, and hydraulic system design Experience managing large field teams and project operations Strong customer service and business development mindset Financial oversight of project budgets, labor, and material allocation Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) OSHA 40 HAZWOPER and current Safeland certification (or ability to obtain) Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and lead by example in the field Preferred Qualifications: B.S. in Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Experience in managing P&L performance and regional business operations Background working with shale gas operators and managing large-scale projects Working knowledge of water automation and telemetry systems Mechanical or civil engineering knowledge preferred Benefits Paid Holidays Medical / Dental / Vision coverage Health savings account (HSA) Company Paid Life Insurance and Accidental & Dismemberment Insurance Voluntary Life Insurance 401k with a company match Paid Time Off Employee Assistance Program Professional Development Programs Employee Referral Programs Voluntary Benefits Offered #INDLP
