Nurse Manager - Emergency Department (ED)Location: Laconia, NH Assignment Dates: 03/23/2026 - 09/26/2026 Duration: 26 weeks Schedule: 40 hours/week, 8 hr Day shift, Mon-Fri with availability to float shifts Shift Type: 8 hr Days On Call: No Travel Experience: Preferred Certifications Required: AHA BLS AHA ACLS TNCC & PALS preferred but not required Experience Required: Minimum 3 years acute care clinical experience in ER Nursing Prior successful managerial experience managing EDs, preferably across multiple sites Experience mentoring new leaders and creating standard work focused on nursing practice and quality improvement Union experience preferred Job Description: This role serves as ED Interim Nurse Manager for Laconia & Franklin hospitals. Responsibilities include providing leadership for the 32-bed Laconia ED and 8-bed Franklin ED (Critical Access), overseeing day-to-day operations, stabilizing and coordinating patient care, and supporting nursing staff across shifts. Leadership for the Laconia 6-bed locked acute psych unit is handled separately by Behavioral Health. The Nurse Manager must have strong hands-on ED skills to support higher acuity cases and facilitate quality improvement initiatives. Skills / Qualifications: Strong ED clinical and leadership skills Ability to mentor and grow nursing leaders across shifts and sites Knowledge of nursing practice standards and quality improvement principles EMR: Cerner experience preferred but not required Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
