Salary : $73,586.00 - $79,652.00 Annually Location : El Paso, TX Job Type: Full time - Regular Job Number: 2026026 Division: VP Student & Enrollment Services Department: Student Leadership & Campus Life Opening Date: 02/27/2026 Closing Date: 3/27/2026 11:59 PM Mountain Employee Classification: Administrator Position Grade: D Job Summary Responsible for the administration of the programs and services related to Student Leadership and Campus Life activities and district-wide New Student Orientation Programs. In-person work on campus is an essential function of this position. Essential Functions Develop and implement a comprehensive student leadership and campus life strategic plan to meet the needs of all student population. Provide leadership and advise the Student Government Association and approved College Student organizations. Direct supervision of full and part-time support staff and student staff, including performance evaluation, coaching, and personal and professional development. Monitor and manage all departmental budgets. Review and develop the departmental budget during the annual Budget Development Process. Create innovative programs and events designed to improve the quality of student life and student governance. Coordinate and collaborate with district-wide areas in providing opportunities to enhance student leadership and student life. Actively coordinate, collaborate, and participate in campus events, activities, and College-related functions. Act as liaison for the District's Student Leadership and New Student Orientation efforts. Stay abreast of campus services, programs, resources, and opportunities to aid in the retention of students. Direct students to resources, policies, and procedures to address personal or academic concerns. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: 1. Master's Degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. NOTE: A copy of the transcript reflecting this required education MUST be submitted for consideration and reflect completed coursework and degrees conferred. The candidate must be fully qualified for the position at the time of application. 2. Demonstrated experience working with students. 3. Experience managing and supervising personnel. 4. Experience developing and executing budgets. 5. Experience generating reports. 6. Experience developing and conducting presentations. 7. Experience recommending, modifying, and implementing policies and procedures. 8. Interpersonal skills to relate to students, faculty, administrators, and staff. 9. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Special Conditions: 1. This is a security-sensitive position as defined under the Texas Education Code, Section 51.215; the successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal background check, as permitted and/or required by applicable law, and in accordance with the College's policies and procedures. 2. Operating a motor vehicle is an essential job function of this position; all final position candidates will be required to undergo a motor vehicle records check, as permitted and/or required by applicable law, and in accordance with the College's policies and procedures. Thereafter, motor vehicle records checks will be conducted annually. 3. Must possess a valid driver's license. 4. Position requires irregular or extended work hours to include evenings and weekends. Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation (word for word) by a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Additionally, each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited coursework. Out-of-town candidates invited for an on-campus interview will be reimbursed for one-half of the transportation cost for travel performed within the United States. The College will arrange and pay for up to two nights lodging. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
