Director Of Global Spare Parts Management The Director of Global Spare Parts Management is responsible for developing and executing the global strategy for spare parts planning, inventory optimization, distribution, and customer fulfillment. This role ensures the availability of critical components to support service operations, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth across all regions. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, drive digital transformation, and implement best-in-class practices for spare parts lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Develop and lead the global spare parts strategy aligned with business goals. Drive standardization and harmonization of spare parts processes across regions. Collaborate with product, engineering, and service teams to ensure parts availability and lifecycle support. Inventory & Planning Optimize global inventory levels to balance service levels and working capital. Implement advanced forecasting models and demand planning tools. Monitor and improve fill rates, lead times, and obsolescence metrics. Operations & Distribution Oversee global parts distribution network, including warehouses and logistics partners. Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs, and export controls. Drive continuous improvement in order fulfillment, reverse logistics, and returns. Digital Transformation Lead initiatives to digitize spare parts catalogs, ordering platforms, and analytics. Implement AI/ML tools for parts demand forecasting. Team Leadership Build and mentor a high-performing global team. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer focus. Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field. 8+ years of experience in spare parts management, aftermarket services, or supply chain. Proven leadership in global operations and cross-functional collaboration. Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), planning tools, and analytics platforms. Strong understanding of inventory optimization, logistics, and customer service. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in digital transformation. Knowledge of regulatory compliance for international trade. Lean Six Sigma or APICS certification is a plus.
