Pharm Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy Floor TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Floor Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of daily drug orders.Responsibilities Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist. Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them per procedure. Assist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, labeling and storing them as needed during low volume times. Manually package materials and products. Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas for prepack racks. Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks. Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that does not scan properly. Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish stock supplies as needed. Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required and/or expected. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Pharmacy Technician License Pharmacy Technician Certification Strong computer and data entry skills to maintain accuracy Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience Additional Skills & Qualifications Proof of National Certified Pharmacy Technician High School Diploma or GED Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Ability to work at a moderate speed with high volume orders Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Work EnvironmentThe work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with weekend rotations from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Extended hours may be necessary based on business needs.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Darien, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.84 - $23.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
