Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/24/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. Directs and guides patient/family teaching. Oversees activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards in Telemetry. Directly responsible and accountable for care given to patients in the Emergency Department. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient clinical condition, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology. Capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment. Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and the reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Education, Experience, and Training: Current and valid state RN License. Current BLS certificate upon hire and must maintain current certification. Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and must maintain current certification. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and must maintain current certification. Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. experience preferred. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
