Job Details — Travel Nursing Opportunity (Sioux City, Iowa) Location: Sioux City, Iowa (51104) — Iowa travel nursing jobs / Sioux City healthcare Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D) — obstetrics, perinatal nursing Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse) Start Date: March 2, 2026 End Date: June 1, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours/week Estimated Weekly Pay: $2360 - $2480 (competitive pay for travel nurses) Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation Floating: Float to Post-Partum unit 1–2 shifts per week Orientation: Multiple onboarding dates available Job Requirements — Labor & Delivery RN (Qualifications) Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in high-volume delivery centers (200–300 deliveries/month) High-acuity and high-risk obstetrics nursing experience required Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred Previous travel nurse contracts preferred (travel nursing experience a plus) EPIC STORK EMR experience preferred (EPIC experience beneficial for L&D documentation) Active Iowa RN license (verified via Nursys) — Registered Nurse licensure required Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC) AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required (fetal monitoring / NST skills) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred Valid Driver’s License required Labor & Delivery skills checklist required Must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from facility (local candidates not eligible) Key Responsibilities — L&D Registered Nurse / Travel Nurse Duties Provide expert patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit, including management of high-risk and high-acuity obstetrics cases Circulate and scrub for deliveries as needed; participate in Cesarean and assisted deliveries when indicated Float to Post-Partum unit 1–2 shifts per week and provide postnatal patient care Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members — obstetricians, anesthesiology, neonatology, and postpartum staff — to ensure safe, effective patient care Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR (charting, handoffs, and perinatal documentation) Participate in orientation, unit-specific training, and ongoing clinical education Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols Apply now to join our healthcare team — discover this fulfilling travel nursing opportunity in Sioux City, IA.
