Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant

Job Summary and Responsibilities Dignity Health Medical Group has a need for a EP Advanced Practitioner in Prescott, AZ (90 minutes from downtown Phoenix, AZ). Collaborate closely with the Electrophysiologist. Conduct thorough pre-procedure evaluations, including patient history review, physical assessments, and interpretation of diagnostic tests. Educate patients and their families about the details of heart procedures, including risks, benefits, and post-procedure care instructions. Assist in the coordination of patient care throughout the process, from pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure recovery and follow-up. Monitor patients' progress and recovery following procedures, addressing any complications or concerns as they arise. Provide ongoing patient education on medication management and lifestyle modifications to support long-term heart health. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians and surgeons, and allied health professionals, to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards. Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant. Valid DEA registration. Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff NP Requirements: Master's Degree in nursing. Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners Compact state or Arizona RN license Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license Surgical First Assist certification Minimum of 3 years Cardiology NP experience, preferably in an acute setting. Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC, or d).
