Sr. Full Stack Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to support a largescale technology modernization initiative based in Smithfield, RI or Merrimack, NH. In this role, you will help build backend services, enhance user interfaces, and design cloudready applications leveraging Java, Spring Boot, Angular/React, and modern DevOps tools. This hybrid position requires the candidate to be onsite 2-3 days per week at either location of Smithfield, RI or Merrimack, NH.Responsibilities for the Senior Full Stack Software Engineer include: Design, develop, and maintain fullstack solutions, including Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, Angular/React web interfaces, PostgreSQL queries, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub. Ensure scalable, containerized deployments by supporting Docker, Kubernetes, performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting across distributed systems. Contribute to strong engineering practices through code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and crossfunctional collaboration to uphold quality and best practices. Requirements for the Senior Full Stack Software Engineer include: 6-10 years of fullstack engineering experience with strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL/PostgreSQL, and frontend frameworks such as Angular or React. Handson experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and familiarity with AWS cloud services. Strong communication and collaboration skills, supported by a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
