Job Description

Position Overview: Join a compassionate healthcare team providing direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of registered nurses. This role supports patients with daily living activities, treatment assistance, and maintaining a safe and comfortable nursing environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist patients with physical, sensory, cognitive, and psychological needs tailored to the population served, ensuring quality care aligned with age-specific competency standards. Respond promptly to patient call lights and communicate effectively with healthcare staff when assistance is needed. Support patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, positioning, and mobility. Follow delegation protocols when performing tasks assigned by team members. Interpret charts, equipment settings, and medical documentation accurately. Engage in clear communication with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues both in person and via telephone. Collect non-invasive specimens and record vital signs as required. Assist nursing and medical staff during procedures and utilize electronic medical records for documentation. Maintain regular attendance and demonstrate flexibility by floating to various departments including emergency, obstetrics, outpatient, and surgery as needed. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Washington. Preferred: At least one year of experience in a patient care environment. Professional Requirements: Adhere to all regulatory and organizational standards. Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in completing assigned duties. Exhibit respectful, courteous, and helpful communication with patients, families, and team members. Work Schedule: Part-time, approximately 12 hours per week, primarily covering Saturday night shifts.
