Surgical Team Opportunity Are you looking to grow your career in surgery and gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of specialties? Join our collaborative, high-performing surgical team where mentorship, professional development, and cross-specialty training are built into your daily experience. New graduates are encouraged to apply! Under the general supervision of our experienced surgeons, you will provide extensive perioperative elective and emergent care to surgical patients. Through our Cross-Trained Model, you'll gain direct First Assist experience in the OR across multiple services and subspecialties. Our stepwise training approach ensures strong mentorship and progressive responsibilityideal for motivated nurse practitioners eager to build skill and confidence in a fast-paced setting. Full Time Department of Surgery Days; OR Call As part of our dynamic surgical team, you'll be exposed to a wide variety of surgical specialties, including: General Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Bariatric, Thoracic, Colo-Rectal, Orthopedics, Hand, ENT, Neurosurgery, Plastics, Urology, and Vascular. Attributes: Compassionate, warm and patient focused Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with supportive team members on a daily basis. Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior Ability to work in a fast-paced environment RNFA Required Responsibilities: Patient Satisfaction. Interacts on a frequent, regular and daily basis with patients, family members, medical/social/public services support, regulatory agencies and/or payor agencies. Interaction and communication requires expressed empathy, understanding, problem-solving, education, information gathering, process influencing and counseling. Medication & Orders. Prescribe medication, write orders, perform procedures and respond to emergency and/or immediate condition changes of acute, critically ill patients. Documentation. Obtain complete, detailed and accurate patient histories, review patient records, perform physical exams, record all pertinent data to develop comprehensive medical status, diagnosis and clinical treatment Education: MS: Nursing (Required) Licenses / Certifications: NP - Nurse Practitioner Certification - New York State Education Department (NYSED), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED) Physical Requirements: Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
