Description Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities. Engage in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care plans. Provide essential education to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care. Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay updated on advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requisite within 30 days of hire. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all age groups, with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams effectively. Ability to modify therapeutic techniques to address varying cultural and linguistic needs. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
