This role includes providing care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The physician performs minor procedures, offers preventive and acute care, and serves as an emergency backup. The physician collaborates with Advanced Practice Providers and multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and optimal health outcomes. They provide services in the clinic and care for families and individuals. Responsibilities include injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, including during hospitalization. The physician will perform surgical and other procedures as appropriate with experience and competency. They will prescribe and administer medications, perform routine vaccinations, and provide advice regarding personal health and hygiene. The physician requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists as necessary. They ensure quality clinical and hospital care in a safe, efficient, competent, and effective manner. The physician prepares records and reports as required in support of services. They attend and participate in patient care conferences, team conferences, and professional staff conferences. Optional obstetrics is also available. The clinic utilizes Cerner for electronic health records. The Family Medicine Physician functions as a primary health care provider in all areas. They diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions for patients of all ages. The physician provides outpatient clinic care, inpatient hospital care, and emergency backup support. They ensure quality clinical and hospital care in a safe, competent, and effective manner. The physician provides care to nursing home residents and performs office-based procedures. They prescribe and administer medications and routine vaccinations. The physician communicates effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and members of the care team. They convey medical information in a manner that supports understanding and informed decision-making. The physician provides timely communication of diagnostic results and treatment plans to patients. They recognize and respond appropriately to abnormal symptoms or changes in patient conditions. The physician adheres to protocols for safe medication administration and patient identification. They comply with all state, federal, and organizational policies. The physician participates in safety, infection control, compliance training, and quality improvement initiatives. They engage in ongoing education, training, and professional development.
