Registered Nurse

Staff RN Position The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities Applies appropriate theory as a basis for decisions regarding nursing practice. The RN shall, for their patient, collaborate in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation. Identifies problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs. Qualifications Current California RN License. Current CPR and ACLS certifications required. Completion of Critical Care and Basic Dysrhythmia course if less than 2 years experience. 2 Years ICU experience preferred. Current NIHSS certification, or within 90 days of employment.
