Medical Transportation Drivers For Seniors!

Bridging Communities needs your help! We are a small non profit in SW Detroit that services local seniors with medical transportation needs to and from appointments. We consider these to be companion rides. Our friendly volunteers call the client to confirm the night before, giving peace of mind and allowing a good night's rest. The volunteer then picks up the client with ample time to get to their appointment, waits for them (either in the car or in the waiting room), then takes them back home. We ask volunteers to report back to us with any concerns or other needs the client may express. The appointments are in the Detroit area. A background check is required and you must have your own vehicle, valid license, and insurance. Mileage reimbursement is available when requested.
