Details Hospital-based Med/Surg unit setting Patient population includes a mix of medical patients across specialties: ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical cases including GI, urology, hysterectomies, and mastectomies Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 36 or 48-hour weeks available Staffing ratio of 1:5-6 on nights, with the possibility of flexing to 1:7-8 when paired with an LPN for support Floating to other Med/Surg units is required, typically once per week based on unit need Every other weekend required Requirements Active Michigan RN license required BLS certification (AHA) required; pending certification accepted if candidate is willing to obtain Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred Must be willing to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs Additional Information Must be available for orientation during the first 2 weeks of the assignment Block scheduling cannot be accommodated at this time Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at a local pay rate Provide direct patient care across a variety of Med/Surg specialties with a flexible, team-based staffing model American Traveler Job ID P-679681.
