What's often standing between people with cancer and lifesaving treatment is a ride to get there. You can change that. As a Volunteer Recruitment Champion, help us grow our volunteer teams to drive more patients to their appointments with the American Cancer Society's Road To Recovery program. We need more volunteer drivers as we can't provide all the rides requested. As a Volunteer Recruitment Champion, you work directly with ACS staff to identify, track, and contact potential recruitment partners, such as civic groups, senior centers, community organizations. Requirements Excel at conducting an online search for community information Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to details Proficient in using email, spreadsheets, documents, online forms. (Google Workspace is helpful.) For those who are local recruitment champions, share the message in person by posting flyers in high-traffic areas, dropping off assets to potential partners in person, or optionally provide information at tabling events, such as volunteer fairs.
