Overview Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated 1st Shift Maintenance Mechanic to support our Production Facility in Madison, Wisconsin. If you are a self-starter with industrial maintenance experience who is looking for variety in your work, and a rewarding career, apply today! Pay Rate: $28.44-31.59/hr. This position is also eligible for our quarterly bonus program Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2pm Career Advancement: Tuition reimbursement available Responsibilities Must-Have: This role is physically demanding, often requiring the ability to lift heavy objects, work in various positions (crouching, climbing, standing for long periods), and use a wide array of hand and power tools Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge Experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment Problem-solving and diagnostic skills Communication and team collaboration skills Responsibilities: Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine, scheduled maintenance on a variety of equipment (presses, mills, ovens, shears, pleaters, motors, conveyor systems etc.) to prevent breakdowns and extend asset lifespan Lubricating parts, checking fluid levels, and replacing filters Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems using observation, technical manuals, and precision diagnostic tools Once identified, repair/replace defective/applicable parts Installation and Assembly: Assisting with the installation, assembly, and testing of new machinery and systems to ensure they function correctly before deployment Safety and Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations This will include conducting safety checks and training others on proper equipment usage Documentation and Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs Utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Management and monitoring of spare parts and supplies inventory Emergency Response: Responding promptly to urgent repair requests and equipment failures to minimize operational downtime LinkedIn Tag Colin Murray-Bain
