The City of Peoria's Streets Division has an excellent opportunity for an Equipment Operator in their Sweeper Operations group. This operator will be a part of a highly productive team that sweeps city streets utilizing a variety of street sweeper equipment. Operates equipment safely and efficiently in high-traffic areas at controlled, low speeds Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Works effectively as a collaborative team member Focused on street sweeping operations while remaining adaptable to cross-functional duties as workload demands Understands the direct impact of attendance and productivity on overall team performance. Moderate previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions. Physical Demands: Work requires heavy physical exertion and effort. Forces exerted are equivalent to lifting between 25 and 50 pounds. Licenses and Certifications: Minimum valid Arizona Class "B" Commercial Drivers License (CDL) upon hire. Class "A" CDL and/or Tanker and HazMAT endorsement may be required within Twelve (12) months of hire depending upon assignment.
